High school outreach: AI, data analysis & telescope observing
Our team hosted an outreach program for high school students combining hands-on introductions to AI-assisted data analysis in astronomy with telescope observing. The goal was to show how modern surveys and machine-learning tools connect to real observations—and to make the research process tangible and exciting for the next generation of scientists.
Over 70 students from about 6 high schools in the area participated in the program across two events in December 2025 and January 2026.
